G-GBP – Your Gold, measured in Pounds

The G-GBP represents ownership of physical gold, expressed in a familiar reference: the British pound (GBP). Each G-GBP corresponds to 0.015 grams of LBMA-certified fine gold, securely stored for you at our independent storage partner GVS Austria e.U.

When you acquire G-GBP, you acquire a clearly defined fraction of a real gold ounce. Specifically: 2,074 G-GBP represent one full LBMA-certified ounce of gold.

Your gold ownership is documented digitally on the Gold Smart Chain in the form of G-GBP units. These units function as certificates of ownership, making your gold holdings easy to manage, transfer, and document — without changing the underlying reality: you own physical gold.

You remain fully in control of your G-GBP at all times. You may transfer your ownership units within the system or use them for direct exchange (for example, in private barter scenarios), if you choose.

At any time, you may return your G-GBP to us and request that the underlying gold be repurchased at the current dealer purchase price, with proceeds paid out to your specified bank account. There is no minimum amount — every fraction is respected.

G-GBP can also be exchanged into other value units on the Gold Smart Chain, allowing you to manage your gold holdings flexibly while always remaining tied to a real, physical asset.
